About Pink Heals
Pink Heals Joliet Area Chapter is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to supporting individuals and families in their local community facing various challenges, with a primary focus on those battling cancer. Established in January 2013, the organization was founded to ensure that funds raised directly benefit those in need within the community.
The organization's mission is to prioritize people over specific causes, using the color pink to symbolize their support for women and their families, regardless of the illness they are confronting. Operated entirely by volunteers, Pink Heals Joliet ensures that 100% of the funds raised remain within the community, providing direct assistance to those in need. Their distinctive pink fire trucks and police cars serve as mobile symbols of hope and love, visiting individuals' homes accompanied by local police and fire departments to deliver flowers, inspiration, and sometimes financial support.
Over the years, the chapter has expanded its outreach and impact, organizing annual events such as the Annual Mother's Day Walk, Tee-Off, and the WINE DOWN fundraisers. These events not only raise essential funds but also foster a sense of community and solidarity among participants. The success and growth of Pink Heals Joliet Area Chapter are attributed to the unwavering support of volunteers and the local community, all united in the mission to spread love, hope, and support to those facing life's most challenging battles.
